Every table that leaves the Oak & Ember workshop carries a small brass tag stamped with the origin of its wood: a decommissioned gym floor, a storm-felled oak from the park, beams from a demolished mill. The furniture is beautiful; the stories are why people commission it.
Reclaimed, not recycled
"Reclaimed wood isn't a compromise — it's better material," the founder explains. Old-growth timber is denser and more stable than anything at a lumberyard today. The workshop mills, dries and finishes everything in-house, and invites clients in at every stage to watch their piece take shape.
